who could do such a thing?

I have felt helpless over the years, going away to school, having to live and seek employment in places elsewhere, and returning to see the ruins made of my home.  Seeing the rooms exposed to rain, dead leaves and debris brought about by vandalism and repeated theft of doors and windows.   But the house withstood and is still standing, waiting for me.  It was built in the 1940s.

There was a time, thinking back, when such brazen thefts and senseless vandalism would not have happened to a little house sitting on a rural Louisiana road.

I’m seeking technical advice, innovative renovation proposals, helpful suggestions and ideas, rough repair estimates, and of course all comments are welcome.

I’m so very intrigued by the images of this house. Its story is very compelling. I sincerely hope you are able to find the help for it you seek. It’s obvious you have a lot of love for this battered house, I do want it to become a home for you again.
